When our son Jacob was here a couple of years ago, we built a shelter for the goats, primarily for those about to kid. We used a pen where there were already to large posts coming out of the ground and built around them mainly using materials we already had on hand. Starting with those posts and building around them instead of making a good plan caused it to be a really big shelter! We decided to divide it in two with one side having a door to be able to shut the young-ins’ in at night (the goats, not our young-ins’!).
